As a community service to a YH3 hasher, below are details about the No Lights No Lycra event in Yangon on Wednesday 1 June, 7-8pm.
Why is this event getting a plug here? It’s an alcohol free event, which isn’t very hashy. But the event is an opportunity to lose inhibitions, get sweaty and participate in something that vaguely resembles exercise (so some similarities to a hash).
No Lights No Lycra “is a dance community that started in Melbourne by unruly dance students Alice Glenn and Heidi Barrett in 2009. There is no light, no lycra, no teacher, no steps to learn, no technique, just free movement. NLNL is a space where you can completely let go, shake out the stresses of the week, and lose yourself in the music and the physicality of your body. NLNL is a daggy*, non-pretentious place to completely be yourself.”
Cost: by donation (suggestion of 5,000 kyat)
Location: Goethe Villa
