As you know, this Thursday is World Mosquito Day, the day in 1897 that Sir Ronald Ross discovered that female mosquitoes transmit malaria between humans.In honour of the event, we will be stripping off into shorts and t-shirts and running through the dark, wet streets of Yangon as an offering to the loveable insects.

Where: Starting where we left off! The start point is the end point of July’s Full Moon Hash: Shwe Li Hlaing BBQ, 132 Upper Pansodan Road (opposite the Rose Garden Hotel)
Who: Hares Maria Phallus and Robin the Scot
What: Beer, a bit of a run or walk, beer, more running or walking, unlimited food and drink courtesy of one of Yangon’s most loved chefs
How much: To be confirmed but likely 20,000 kyats or a little less (cough it up, the end point is considerably better than average)
What to bring: A torch and bright coloured clothes
